There are several traditions that celebrate culture and the arts while showcasing the talent this university has helped to build. Unique events such as the Viennese Ball and the Eau Claire Jazz Festival have alumni, community members, and Blugolds setting reminders on their calenders each year.
You'll find beautiful and thought-provoking works of art throughout the community and in several buildings on campus, including Davies Center, Centennial Hall, and Haas Fine Arts. In addition, our very own Foster Art Gallery is home to the University Art Collection and regular exhibits from students and artists around the world.
Eau Claire has a rich history in theatre arts. If your creative outlet is on the stage, this is the perfect place to be. Not only can you get your fill of musicals and plays on campus, you can also get involved in the many theatre opportunities out in the community.
The University Theatre Productions gives theatre lovers productions in a full range of styles, genres and periods. The season offers four main-stage productions, a theatre for youth touring production, and a student-directed short play festival and dance concert.
The Forum lecture series is one of the longest standing continuous events of its kind in the United States. Each year, you have the opportunity to listen to some of the greatest imaginations and idea makers of our time. Likewise, the Artists Series has been a staple on UW-Eau Claire's campus for over 50 years. The Artists Series brings in international dance, music, and theatre performances large and small.
