Providing the surroundings for success

At UW-Eau Claire we do learning a little differently. Sure, a big part of your experience will include classrooms, studying and taking tests. But what we do differently is provide you with unique learning opportunities through experiences created in our facilities and centers. Listed below are some of the facilities and centers that allow you to improve your skills and gain actual experience by working on real-life scenarios.

Math Lab

When the student tutors in the Math Lab are done with you, you might even like math or at least you’ll understand it better. Get clarification on concepts, help on your homework and answers to your questions. Make sure to take advantage of this resource!

Human Development Center

Students from several disciplines gain valuable skills by working together to help children with educational support. The Human Development Center offers students real-world experience, while providing clinical services to families in the community.

Gantner Concert Hall

Catch a show or be a part of the over 70 annual events held for ensemble concerts, solo faculty and senior recitals, dance, opera, and musical theatre. The stage is home to two matching Steinway grand pianos and an Aeolian-Skinner 46 rank pipe organ.

Communication & Journalism Center

This center contains a visual communication studio and lab, a broadcast journalism newsroom and radio and television studios. The student newspaper The Spectator and the student radio station WUEC 89.7 FM—Blugold Radio also call the center home.

Practice the economic principles that you learned in class by helping a local or regional business in the Chippewa Valley community. The CVCERD provides several opportunities for faculty and students to track, analyze and research the local economy.
